Social Security Disability & SSI Benefits

The Social Security Administration estimates that __ out of ___ people will become disabled in their lifetime. For this reason, the Social Security program includes a disability benefit which you can receive if you have paid into the system for enough time (if you have not, you may be eligible for SSI - Supplemental Security Income).

Title II of the Social Security Act applies to Disability benefits, and Title XVI governs SSI benefits. The Social Security Regulations that govern these claims are found in Title 20 of the Code of Federal Regulations. These laws are often very different from the language our clients find in their disability insurance policies. Usually, it is much more difficult to qualify for Social Security Disability or SSI than it is to prove disability under private insurance or an ERISA plan.

Our law firm can assist you in navigating the maze through Social Security's system. We will file appeals for you, represent you at hearing, and, if necessary, appeal your case to Federal District Court. Attorney John Tucker has represented nearly 1000 individuals in pursuing Social Security Disabiltiy and SSI claims in Florida and other states, and he will discuss your case with you for no charge. He is also one of the few lawyers in the State of Florida that handle disability insurance and ERISA disability cases in addition to Social Security Disability claims.

If our firm agrees to represent you, we will handle your case using a 25% contingency fee of your past due benefits. That means that if you do not recover any past due benefits, then you do not have to pay our law firm any attorney fee. We will also advance the costs on your case, and although payment of the costs is not contingent on winning the case, we will discuss significant expenses with you before you are obligated to pay us anything.
